Received an email from George Mason Mortgage, LLC, which informed us that they will release $71,020 to NDI.

“We received a draw request from your builder around the holidays.  The inspector finally completed the report and sent us a copy.  Photos evidence completion of drywall, trim and cabinets.  That said, we will release $71,020.00 to NDI today.”

Cabinet walk is today.  Jin and Vince met in the new house.  Dawn sent email as following.

The granite countertops has been installed.

The cabinets in the kitchen and bath rooms are all done. 

Hardwood floor has been finished installation.  The contractors are working on cabinets.

NDI hired DeMarr to finish the final grading.  We should be able to set up the drive way and sob.  However, we don’t want the heavy trucks to mess up our drive way so we will wait until cabinets and granite etc. are finished installation. 

The tall new pole for electricity has been installed.  Big progress!  However, we still have no electricity.  They said it would be available either tomorrow or the next Monday.

There are still no sign of the new pole for electricity.

Jin sent a very nice email to push Mr. Garza,  the Dominion representative responsible for our work request, and he replied immediately.

His email said although our project was set up to work on 12/22/15, he will try his best to move it as early as possible.  If the weather is perfect, they might be able to install the pole next week.

When I was checking our new house this morning, I happened to meet Vince, our new project manager.  He was very nice and showed me the schedule for our house and gave us an informal move in date.  He estimated it as 1/15/2016.  However, there are a lot of uncertainty elements like electricity, weather, etc.  Anyway, it is a good news for us.  Thank you Vince!
